Damaru

If you take two bowls and join the base of the two| well that is what exactly what a Damaru looks like. The bowl shaped structure is made of ?? and covered with skin on both sides. The middle or point where the two bases meet has two strings attached to it tied as knots. The Damaru is held in the middle and played moved back and forth so that the knots hit the skin| which in turn generates sound.
